Summit High School's boys and girls basketball teams volunteered with two programs serving people with special needs.
The boys team supported the Miracle League, which gives youth and adults with special needs a chance to compete in a safe, fun setting. The girls team helped with the Summit Best Buddies program's Trunk or Treat event. Best Buddies pairs students who have high special needs with peers for events and school activities.
The school's athletics department posted the announcement Oct. 28.
