Two Battle Creek student-athletes will make their college commitments official Wednesday, Nov. 11, when the Spring Hill school holds its first-ever National Signing Day.
Jack Whitworth will sign with Freed Hardeman University for baseball, according to Battle Creek High School Athletics. Spencer Velasquez-Berry will sign with Milligan University for boys soccer, the school's athletics account announced separately. The ceremony is set for 3:15 p.m. in the auditorium.
It will be the first signing day ceremony in the Grizzlies program's history. Battle Creek High School Athletics posted on Oct. 30 asking fans to "save the date" and "stay tuned to hear which Grizzlies are signing … to play at the next level."
