Spring Hill and Thompson's Station residents can cast early ballots starting Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive.

Early voting for the Tuesday, Nov. 3, Federal/State General Election and municipal elections runs through Thursday, Oct. 29, according to the Williamson County Election Commission. The Longview site is one of eight early voting locations across Williamson County. Registered voters may use any of the eight sites regardless of where they live within the county.

Weekday hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The site is also open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, and Saturday, Oct. 24.

Races on the ballot include governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, Tennessee Senate (odd-numbered districts), Tennessee House, Republican and Democratic State Executive Committees, vacant state judicial offices, applicable county offices and municipal elections, Williamson Source reported.

What to bring

All voters must present a Tennessee or federal-issued photo ID bearing their name and photo. Expired IDs are accepted. First-time voters who registered online or by mail must also show proof of residential address.

Acceptable forms of photo ID include a Tennessee driver's license, U.S. passport, U.S. military photo ID, Tennessee handgun carry permit with photo, or a photo ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security or the federal government, according to the Columbia Daily Herald.

College student IDs are not accepted.

Maury County residents

Spring Hill straddles two counties. Residents whose address falls in Maury County vote at a different location: the Maury County Election Commission office, 1207 Tradewinds Drive, Columbia. Maury County early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

Voters unsure which county they fall in can check their ballot and polling location through the free GoVoteTN app, available in the App Store and Google Play.

Absentee ballots

Voters who requested an absentee by-mail ballot must return it by mail or private carrier so the county election commission receives it by the close of polls on Election Day. Hand delivery to a poll worker is not permitted. Ballot status can be checked through the Tennessee Secretary of State's absentee ballot tracker.

The voter registration deadline was Oct. 5. The Williamson County Election Commission, led by Administrator of Elections Chad Gray, can be reached through its website. Election Day polls open Tuesday, Nov. 3.
